Start off this beautiful weekend of wellness as a collective to honor your retreat experience with an opening ceremony to celebrate connection, community, and intension for the weekend.

OPENING CEREMONY

Presenter: Karissa McKenna

We honor the intentional gathering of this winter retreat with our opening ceremony, where we will share the sacred medicine of Cacao (optional), to help open and expand our hearts together in circle. Inviting the feminine energy of mama cacao into our lives allows us to soften into the present moment and receive guidance from our most intuitive self. Cacao is a gentle plant medicine that creates space in the body, activates the heart space, creating resonance with one another by connecting with the language of the heart. By gathering in circle to officially begin our retreat, we are laying the foundation of what’s to come. Centering ourselves in our awareness of this present moment will bring deeper connection and potential for expansion in the relationships we cultivate, as well as the experiences that lie ahead of us.

Disclaimer: Cacao is a gentle plant medicine, but may not be suitable for those who are experiencing/

have experienced the following:

Taking antidepressants, SSRIs, heart conditions, pregnant or breastfeeding, taking 5-htp (5-Hydroxytryptophan), taking St John's Wort (please refrain from taking it for a few days before and after the cacao circle). Taking antipsychotic medication, low blood pressure, (be aware that although cacao is a stimulant, it lowers blood pressure), allergic or sensitive to theobromine, and epileptic.

The opening ceremony will conclude with a meditation and sound bath to balance the divine feminine and masculine energies within. When these polarizing energies are in harmony, we may experience more stability, creativity, vitality, and compassion.

Open your heart and throat chakra with the sound of your voice and rhythm of your breath, taking you into a deep state of meditation, bringing a state of inner peace and harmony. To end the evening, lie down to relax, integrate, and absorb the healing vibrations of the symphonic gong. Let the sound currents unlock a deep inner sense of wisdom as we gather in group consciousness to begin our journey of growth and connection together.

Procrastination is one of the biggest ways we hold ourselves back and self-sabotage. 

Falling into the trap of “I can do it later” or “there is plenty of time” or “I don’t know where to start", leaving things to the last minute and then stressing ourselves out to get it all done. Together we will look at why we fall into the procrastination trap, how to pull yourself out of it and how to set yourself up to break the cycle of procrastination before it starts. We will end our time together with a beautiful EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) tapping process to anchor in new beliefs around procrastination and self-sabotage to clear out any stuck energy you may have surrounding it.

Let's honour the deities, perform sacred rituals, and dance by the sacred flame. All are welcome to join this holy Sabbat, whether you are a seasoned witch or a curious muggle who wants to connect with the magickal world. You will experience what it's like to be in a witch's coven through circle casting, banishing rights, sacred ritual work, and spell casting. Blessed be.

Breathwork Ceremony

Breathing in a rhythm grants us the permission to bypass the analytical mind and step deeper into our feeling nature, allowing us to shift the way we feel! We are then able to heal the mind and the body of energetic imprints, release heavy emotions, create new neurological pathways, and new habits and ways of being that bring us into deeper alignment.

During this ceremony, you will experience energy clearing, rhythmic breathing, breath retentions, sacred sound and will be guided and held throughout the journey. The result of the ceremony will be different for everyone. All you will need is the willingness to go deep within, a cushion or bolster so your hips are higher than your legs, your water bottle, and your beautiful self!

There are many benefits of meditation that help us mentally and physically. Regular meditation can assist in gaining a new perspective on stressful situations. Along with increasing self-awareness, focusing on the present moment, reducing negative emotions, lowering resting heart rate, improving sleep quality, and much more.

The first mediation session will start at 7:00 pm and will continue every 30 minutes thereafter.

Yoga Nidra: A Chakra Journey

Yoga nidra is often referred to as yogic sleep; the body and the mind are primed for deep rest through intention setting (sankalpa), meditation, and relaxing all parts of the body. Traveling through brain states and energy layers, you will explore a power which can be accessed when it's in the receptive hypnogogic state of alpha brain. This practice activates a physical and mental release of emotional tension, slows down the nervous system and allows the muscles to relax, helping the body rest, heal, and change belief programming. We will travel through and explore the seven main chakra points during this yoga nidra practice.

Soul Connection Drumming Circle

Integrative drumming circle is a very interactive class where each attendee is an active participant. We come together and create beautiful rhythms as a community. Several kinds of drums as well as a variety of fun percussion instruments will be supplied. Attendees do not need any musical training or experience, just an open mind and willingness to enjoy what comes.

Sound therapy has been practiced since ancient times. Some aspects of sound bathing can help people with various concerns, such as stress, processing emotions, or unblocking chakras. A sound bath usually involves lying down on a mat in a group setting. Sound therapy is based on the idea that every part of your body creates a vibration which resonates in a certain way creating a vibrational healing for our bodies, which are in a constant state of vibration. During this sound bath ceremony, the crystal alchemy bowls offer high frequency sound waves to wash over you and take you on a journey beyond. Offering relaxation, energetic cleansing and transmute unwanted energy from your biofield. The different bowls offer different qualities/elements and different tones to synchronize you and bring you into harmony with your optimal self.

Our closing ceremony will seal the magic of the weekend into a container of new and renewed friendships, plenty of shared knowledge, and fresh inspiration to bring us well into the warmer spring months. We will bask in gratitude for everything that was required for us to arrive here and now. Reconnecting with our heart space, we will close our sacred container and set intentions to carry this heart-centered awareness into our daily lives in these winter days. Simply connecting back to this loving energy whenever we need to fill our cups once again.
