Lindsay Mac

Lindsay Mac is a private somatic psychotherapist and trauma-specialized practitioner
whose work explores embodiment as a pathway into deeper relationship with ourselves,
with life and with the sacred. For more than 15 years, Lindsay has worked with people in the deeper terrain of healing, embodiment, relationship, grief, trauma, and personal transformation. Her work draws from somatic psychotherapy, nervous-system awareness, parts work, and spiritual exploration. But beneath all of it lives a deep curiosity about what it means to be human, to inhabit a body, and to be fully here for this strange and beautiful experience of being alive. At the heart of Lindsay’s work is the belief that the body is far more than something to regulate, or heal. It holds history, instinct, wisdom, mystery, and an extraordinary capacity to bring us into direct relationship with ourselves. When we learn to listen deeply enough, the body can become
a bridge into presence, inner knowing, connection, and a more intimate relationship with life and
the sacred. Her work invites people to become curious about what lives beneath the surface. To feel more, listen more deeply, and discover what becomes possible when we stop trying to escape parts of our experience and begin learning how to stay. Because perhaps healing is not only about
becoming free from what has hurt us. Perhaps it is also about becoming available to more of life.
More beauty. More grief. More awe. More love. More mystery.

Cassie McBean

I’m Cassie McBean, I run a Real Estate business under the brokerage CIR Realty called Casta Dee RE. My legal name is Casta, as one of my parents decided to name me Cassie and the other one liked Casta Dee. I thought of the business name Casta Dee RE one day when I was driving.

I was involved in a head on motor vehicle collision at highway speeds with an impaired driver last year on Mother’s Day after yoga practice coming home to Diamond Valley from Okotoks. Breath work and following my intuition guided me through those first moments after.

What followed was continued breath work, and following my intuition and acting on my instincts, physio and movement such as yoga as well as sound therapy with sound bowls, drums and chimes etc. I had hired a personal coach prior to the accident and have continued with her ever since, that also has helped me find my own mental strength and agility.

I used my black frame drum regularly in my hospital stay and into recovery and still today. I have taken Facilitator training for integrated Community Drumming and love to focus on drumming sessions with individuals. I enjoy helping others discover the healing power of sound and continue following my intuition for what is needed in my own life. I’m excited to share my experiences and knowledge with everyone at the Fall Weekend Retreat.
